Winter Series OSK

It has been remiss of me, but I have not had time to publish any reports on the recent Winter Series.

The series consisted of 4 shoots and a "skeet club" type shoot off of pairs on 3, 4 and 5.

All 4 shoots were quite well supported, but it would have been nice to see some sort of representation from Association discipline reps, even at 1 shoot, but that was not to be.

After the 4th shoot in SW2000, the 8 top shooters in each class went head to head in the shoot off, hot favourite Julian Jeremy uncharacteristically dropping both targets in rapidly failing light drew a sharp intake of breath from the watching crowd.

Gold medal position was decided on the first peg, with Mike Jay the only one to clean up on both targets. Silver and bronze went a few stands with the medal positions finally going to Gary Brewer (silver) and Pete Baker (bronze)

Here's Mike receiving his trophy from Mike Amodeo at SW2000.

As usual we need to thank a few people for their generosity in helping to put on this Series. Firstly, Roger Harrendence, for designing, crafting and donating such a wonderful trophy, (pictured below with a tear in his eye), Rob Philips et al at Telpyn, Mike and Margaret Amodeo at SW2000 and Crosshands Cartridge Centre for the generous prizes.

Welcome 2007

The new season is nearly upon us so I thought I would take this opportunity of wishing everyone a successful season in 2007. As you can see we have updated the site somewhat, archiving last reports in readiness for this years, many thanks therefore go to Dave Lea in North Wales for his unstinting work in maintaining the site. Thanks Dave!!!

Anything will do, shoot reports, general moans and groans, questions a,d answers and items or sale, but please, keep it clean!!

Thats all for now, but keep your eyes peeled for new updates.

Have a good one.
